Terms and Conditions

For customers paying in arrears…

  1. All new Belfast Telegraph home deliveries are on a Monday to Saturday basis.

  2. Home Delivery orders placed on a Friday will commence on the next available Monday.

  3. Belfast Telegraph Home Delivery subscriptions are for a minimum period of twelve days. If you cancel before this period has expired you will be charged for the full twelve days.

  4. If you require a break in your subscription for holidays we require 72 hours notice. Holiday stops after this point may not be processed and you may still be charged.

  5. Belfast Telegraph Home Delivery service payments are to be made promptly in arrears on a monthly invoice basis. Your account must have sufficient credit to cover your subscription on a monthly basis

  6. In the event of adverse weather conditions or other Force Majeure events Independent News & Media reserves the right to suspend newspaper deliveries temporarily in which case your account will be credited for any deliveries missed.

  7. Direct Debit and Credit Card payments may be made by the account/card holder only. For payments made over the phone you must have your bank/card details to hand.

  8. All payments should be made payable to Independent News & Media Ltd.

  9. You must continue with the service for at least twelve weeks to be eligible to receive any promotional offers associated with your Home Delivery subscription. For some promotional offers there may be a waiting time of up to an additional twelve weeks.

  10. Promotional offers are available to Home Delivery customers only and are subject to availability. Independent News & Media reserve the right to amend these offers as and when required.

  11. The special offer of 50p per copy is available for a six week period only, after which the usual 75p rate per copy will apply.

  12. Any external agencies responsible for Belfast Telegraph Home Delivery promotional offers will process your data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and may contact you with regard to other offers or promotions as appropriate.

  13. Deliveries are not available to upper floors or areas with restricted access i.e. through security doors/gates, unless there is a prior agreement with a Belfast Telegraph distributor.

  14. To let us know of a change of address or to find out if your delivery service can be continued at your new address please contact our Customer Service team on FREEPHONE 0800 028 1909.

  15. Independent News & Media and its authorized agents reserve the right to recover all costs incurred in the collection of unpaid and overdue funds.

  16. Independent News & Media reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions as and when required to satisfy commercial requirements.

  19. The offer is available for a six week period only after which you will be charged at the normal invoice rate. All sign ups are for a minimum of two weeks and you must contact us within 48 hours with details of any missed deliveries, damage or holidays.

 

For customers paying In advance (Pre-Paid) (additional)

  1. Orders taken by Home Delivery customer service or canvassing agents will only be processed when payment is received either by cherub (made payable to Independent News & Media Ltd) or by credit card.

  2. Credit card payments for the Belfast Telegraph Home Delivery service may be made by the cardholder only.

  3. Any refunds will only be made to the credit card used to make initial subscription payment. If this credit card is no longer active, refunds may be made via an alternative payment method at the discretion of Independent News & Media Ltd.

  4. The minimum sign up period for this pay in advance period is 12 weeks.

  5. Customers currently paying in arrears and wishing to switch to a Pre-Paid package must settle their existing in arrears account before switching.

  6. If you choose not to renew your subscription, it is your responsibility to claim any outstanding credit. All credit refunds will be made as payments against the original payment card.

  7. Belfast Telegraph Home Delivery services will stop automatically when a subscription expires unless renewed in advance by credit card or cherub/postal order.

  8. Customers will receive renewal reminders from Belfast Telegraph Home Delivery subscriptions shortly before their service is due to expire. Customers may make Pre-paid renewal payments by phone on FREEPHONE 0800 028 1909 and must have their card details to hand.

  9. All subscriptions commence on a Monday. You may nominate a future Monday start date if you require a delay before starting your subscription. You must contact us within 48 hours with details of any missed deliveries or damaged copies.

  10. If you require a holiday stop or short break, please contact FREEPHONE 0800 028 1909 to pause your delivery service. Any credit accumulated during requested breaks will be deducted from your next renewal package.

  11. The charge per copy of The Belfast Telegraph for Pre-paid Home Delivery customers is currently 50p per copy and subject to change. If package prices change we will let you know in advance and any changes will be reflected in the terms and conditions on our website.

  12. Pre-paid subscriptions are subject to a two week period during which you can choose not to proceed with your subscription. You can then contact us on FREEPHONE 0800 028 1909 for a full refund minus any papers already delivered up to an agreed stop date.

  13. All Belfast Telegraph Pre-paid subscriptions are subject to these terms & conditions without exception. Independent News & Media Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions as and when required without notice.
